Niramaya is a health insurance scheme under the National Trust that covers individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and multiple disabilities. In 2026 the cover was refreshed — here's the plain-language version.

What's covered

  • Regular medical check-ups and preventive dental care
  • Therapy consultations (OT, ST, and behaviour therapy)
  • Non-surgical corrective procedures up to the annual limit
  • Transport costs to and from empanelled hospitals

Who is eligible

Anyone holding a disability certificate under the National Trust Act and registered on the Swavlamban portal. Enrolment is annual.
