Raising Arjun — a family's two-year journey with OT
How one family moved from daily meltdowns to a calm, connected home rhythm.

"We thought we'd tried everything. What we hadn't tried was a team that understood him, not just his diagnosis."
When Arjun was four, mornings were the hardest part of the day. Getting dressed took an hour. Brushing teeth ended in tears. The Deshmukh family had seen three professionals before finding TheraWe.
The first six months
Weekly OT sessions with Dr. Ananya focused on sensory integration and building small predictable routines. Progress was quiet at first — a calmer bath time, a morning without a meltdown. Then it started compounding.
Where they are today
Two years on, Arjun dresses himself most mornings. Meltdowns still happen — but the family has language for them, and a plan. The Deshmukhs continue with monthly check-ins as Arjun starts a new school.
